Cranstoun psychology is a private practice that has been operating since 1995. It consists of specialist Educational, Developmental and Clinical Psychologists who work as a TEAM who share their experience with regular team discussions and a collaborative approach to treatment and support.
Several psychologists may work with one family to provide the most effective service. Although some of the team have some specialist skills, we are equally trained in cognitive behavioural and development approaches.
If you are referred to a particular psychologist who may not have immediate availability, an appropriate team can be assigned by Fiona Cranstoun or Lauren Wertheimer (directors of the practice).
The team are approved FaHCSIA (soon to be National Disability Insurance Scheme) providers of specialist services including Helping Children With Autism and other government funded programs. The team are also approved Autism Medicare assessors. Several team members have been involved in accessing funding applications for preschool and schools for various organisations e.g. DHS, ISV (Independent Schools Victoria).
